Endless chattering
gaggling geese
a dull roar
envelopes the air
with good cheer
Faces break
the stone away
with merry chant
and throaty cackle
hearts are lifted
at every table
Warm welcome
eyes contact
broad smiles
proudly displayed
loyal attendants
tend appetites
for spirits, food
and fun.
